Collar and "Candy" Mechanics | CW: drug talk, general NSFW talk

Every character will wake up with one of these around their neck. It cannot be removed, and all attempts leave the character feeling one of the following effects (player's choice):
-dizziness
-drastically lowered inhibitions
-unconsciousness
-intense grogginess
-insatiable hunger
-increased anger
-increased loneliness
-drastically heightened mood
-increased pessimism
-increased optimism
-loss of verbal filter
-loss of self-preservation

The regular effects will be as follows:

Week One will be one of the above effects (player's choice) coming into play during the characters' everyday life.
Put simply, every player will pick one (1) thing from that list and that is the effect that their character is feeling. It can be as small or as big as you like. For instance, if it's increased anger, it could be as small as them snapping at someone a tiny bit easier than they normally would. Or... it could have them eventually storming through the mansion, wrecking everything and everyone they come across. Your choice! Just remember there are consequences for certain actions.

Week Two will be two of the above effects coming into play.
Same as above, but it's two of the things from that list! You may choose to double up on one item, but that means double. So if it's anger, there's a guarantee they'll be acting their angriest. If it's increased pessimism, that doubles the chances of something like intense depression and everything that might usually come with that. Feel free to poke a mod if you have questions!

Week Three will come with - you guessed it! - three from the list, and Week Four will come with four!

One thing that stacks onto the above regular effects is a decline in human nature - every person will very slowly begin to lose touch with humanity. They will become less sympathetic towards one another as the weeks pass, although that will start small. Their bodies will begin to change into something less human (player's choice, within reason/matching to the week number specified):
-pointed ears, Week 1 and onward
-fangs, Week 1 and onward
(pick one of the above!)

-claws, Week 2 and onward

-change in skin complexion (duller, shimmery, s-sparkly, etc.), Week 3 and onward
-horns, Week 3 and onward
(pick one of the above!)

-tail, Week 4 and onward
-wings, Week 4 and onward
(pick one of the above!)

The less human they become, the worse it will get for them.

Modifiers

There are certain choices and items that can remove a weekly effect, both from the top list (mental/emotional changes) and the list just above (physical changes) - meaning each choice can remove two, simultaneously. Incentive!

Actions include things like appealing to certain NPCs or making questionable deals with certain folks. Items are where the below comes into play!

"Candy" is an item that can be purchased or won (through the games, through spontaneous events thrown by NPCs). It will slow the process of their change (delaying it by a week, per "Candy" consumption) and also remove a single effect that the collar causes.

The catch?

It comes with its own list of effects, albeit of the less permanent variety (again, player's choice):
-mild dizziness for up to 6 hours
-lowered inhibitions for up to 24 hours
-sleepiness for up to 3 hours
-increased appetite for up to 24 hours
-increased anger for up to 12 hours
-increased loneliness for up to 2 days
-drastically heightened mood for up to 3 days
-increased pessimism for up to 12 hours
-increased optimism for up to 6 hours
-loss of verbal filter for up to 3 days
-loss of self-preservation for up to 2 days

All effects are temporary and begin the moment that it's consumed. Feel free to RNG the time limit!

The other catch?

The "Candy" is highly addictive. The more often they eat it, the more they begin to outright crave it. By the third consumption, they'll want it badly enough to do whatever it takes to get their hands on more of it.

Funny, considering it tastes like whatever their least favorite food is.
